Martha's Vineyard Estate, Edgartown, Massachusetts
A vacation in Edgartown, the classic Norman Rockwell American Dream, will take you back to a time and place when life was simple and dreams were grand.
Sarah built and decorated this home in the classic New England beach home style. We host family reunions here every summer.
Sip on malt sodas and root beer floats in this throw-back-to-the-fifties resort, and enjoy your summer vacation by the sea in our newly constructed colonial revival vacation home.
Our classic luxury, estate-retreat for large groups is just steps off South Beach and the Winnetu Resort. We offer a full-amenity vacation rental experience by opening our private summer home for you.
This seasonal vacation rental is offered from April until October, but for the adventurous types we can open up the home in the off-season. The most popular months for our home are July and August, followed by June and September. We have been residence of Martha's Vineyard for many years and will help you plan your stay on Island. If you need extra help around the house or assistance in the kitchen, our staff can help make your holiday the best if can be.
Activities around charming and quaint Martha's Vineyard include walks on the peaceful white-sand beaches, cycling on endless miles of bike paths, strolling the meticulously maintained neighborhoods and main streets, sailing on the calm sea, rowing on the inland waterways, and many other classic outdoor experiences. No need to rent bikes; we have them in every shape and size!
When you really want to retreat, there's plenty of ways to spend your time in your vacation home...whether it's being active or just chilling out. Start the day with breakfast on the deck with your entire group. Read Robert Frost poems or the Saturday Evening Post in the soft morning light of the beautiful flower garden. Cook breakfast with the family in the gourmet kitchen, then plan your activities for the day around the dining room table that seats fourteen.
From one of the breezy classic wood decks, watch your children play on the generous green lawn. Join them to play baseball, crochet and sand volley ball on the two-acre grounds. Savor views of the deep blue Atlantic Ocean through the large picture windows in the veranda room . . . and enjoy a refreshing drink as the temperature cools and the sun retreats in the tranquil white-fluffy-cloud afternoon sky.
Watch the late summer sunset from the private master bedroom deck overlooking the white dunes of South Beach. After dinner, play board games in the New England-style family room framed with a high ceiling of vintage wood beams. Then tuck in the children and in relax in the sauna, soak in the hot-tub, and gather around the outdoor fireplace, telling stories, reminiscing and sipping a glass of wine.
Does a private vacation with the family really exist? The third story is a private master retreat with a private deck and luxury bath. If your party is large, we can offer you two extra bedrooms, bathrooms and a kitchenette in the spacious detached guest house.
We are proud to be part of the L'Occitane family and provide beauty essentials during your stay. For over 30 years L'Occitane has best drawn inspiration from Mediterranean and traditional Provencial techniques to create a natural beauty product dedicated to your well-being.

Bachelorette Weekend Success!
2006-05-2114 women from around the country met at this beautiful home to celebrate one lovely lady and her upcoming nuptials! We enjoyed the spacious great room/ kitchen combination with a beautiful view- Eating lobsters at the LONG table where all were comfortable was a delight! The beds were heavenly! Lots of little spaces to sit with close friends and reconnect! Everything was perfect!
Thank you Chrissy & Sara
Our Stay in the Vineyard
2010-11-30Sara and Chrissy,
Our stay in the Vineyard last week was absolutely wonderful! What an incredible house you have - it couldn't have been more perfect. Great
location, quiet yet not far from the action, etc. Al and Myrna were so sweet and helpful. Gail came one afternoon and cooked us an unbelievable clambake -
everyone was raving and she couldn't have been more accommodating. Please contact us should you ever need a referral.
Thank you again for all of your help in creating such an enjoyable environment for us, for answering the multiple questions we had beforehand, we really
appreciate it.
Take care,
Denise
Denise has said it all. Your home is priceless and our only regret is that our stay was so short. I will spread the word among our closest friends if You let me. I hope we have a chance to meet some day.
Warmest regards,Steve
Thanks
2010-11-30Chrissy:
We are preparing to leave tomorrow. We had a great time, and all members of my family want to convey to you, Sara, and Scott that we had a really outstanding vacation at this wonderful property.
We would like to reserve a week next summer.Once again, I want to emphasize that there were so many nice touches, both large and small, in the design of the property that made our vacation delightful. At times, it seemed that the place was designed exactly for our family!
Thank you so much. I will look forward to hearing further from you about finalizing a week for next summer.
Clark
